Batemans Bay Wetland Event Sunday 28th September
You are invited to a special wetland event hosted by WetlandCare Australia and South East Local Land Services. The day will start with a presentation by WetlandCare Australia covering everything that is great about wetlands such as their habitat and biodiversity values, superior carbon storage abilities and high benefit to agricultural productivity, as well as factors which impact on their health and what we can do to help them. This will be followed by a field trip to the nearby Clyde River complex, where we will have a closer look at key indicators of wetland health such as vegetation condition, hydrology, and impacts from surrounding landuses. This event is suitable for all ages.
Presentation:
Time: 10:30am – 11:30am
Venue: Batemans Bay Community Centre, 2 Museum Place Batemans Bay
Tea and coffee will be provided
Field trip:
Time: 1pm – 3pm
Venue: Clyde River complex
What to bring: Hat, sunscreen, water, covered footwear and insect repellent.
Participants will need to supply their own lunch.
